Early Medieval Metalwork from Wales

Brigham Young University offers hundreds of varied language courses that are difficult to find even at the largest universities - including Welsh language courses, taught by the venerable Tom Taylor. As a hopeless lover of all things British, medieval, Celtic, or anything at all related to Tolkien, I of course had to take Welsh! My husband's ancestry is almost exclusively Welsh, which I see as a subconscious indicator...Someday, when I can finally tour Wales, I can't wait to see the reaction to an American who can pronounce the mile-long town names!
Anyway, I wrote my senior thesis as an undergraduate on Eisteddfod chairs (which will be a post someday soon!), and even considered writing my graduate thesis on a Welsh topic. I can't believe I haven't delved into anything Welsh yet on my blog, so here's an hor d'oeuvre of feasts to come!
