St. Jerome, Patron Saint of Libraries

A dear friend of mine who works at the Harold B Lee Library gave me a beautiful print copy of this illumination:
St. Jerome in his Study, in a manuscript of La Vie, Mors, et Miracles du Glorieux St. Jherome, French, 1495-1515. Quarto 091 H532 (350x245 mm). 149 leaves (6-149 numbered 1-viiXXiiii)
Saint Jerome (340-420) translated the Bible into Latin, called The Vulgate Bible. He is the patron saint of libraries, and in this image he is dressed as an Augustinian monk.
More images of this beautiful manuscript can be found on this site, DScriptorium (http://toisondor.byu.edu/dscriptorium/). While you're at it, carve some time out to explore the other illuminations on the site!
